The journal is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and ensuring that all research published adheres to rigorous ethical standards.

1. Research Involving Human Subjects

All research involving human participants, human material, or human data must have been performed in accordance with the principles stated in the Declaration of Helsinki [1].

1.1. Ethical Approval and Consent

Mandatory Approval: For studies involving human participants, authors must ensure that appropriate ethical approval was obtained from the relevant ethical committee or institutional review board (IRB) before the research began.

Informed Consent: Informed consent must be obtained from all human participants.

Manuscript Statement: The manuscript must include a statement confirming that ethical approval was obtained and detailing the approving body.

2. Research Involving Animals

Research involving animals must comply with ethical guidelines and must have received approval from the relevant institutional ethics committee.

Mandatory Approval: Authors must confirm that all procedures were approved by an appropriate ethics committee.

Reporting: The manuscript must include a statement confirming compliance with ethical standards for animal research.

3. Data Integrity and Transparency

Authors must present their research data honestly and accurately. Data manipulation, falsification, or fabrication is unacceptable. All methods and data used in the research must be clearly presented, and authors must provide access to supporting data upon request.

4. Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses

Systematic reviews and meta-analyses must be registered in a publicly accessible database (e.g., PROSPERO) prior to commencing the review. Furthermore, the reporting of these studies must strictly follow the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines [2] to ensure transparency and completeness in the methodology and findings.

5. Authorship and Conflicts of Interest

TLSB adheres to the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines and the ICMJE (International Committee of Medical Journal Editors) recommendations regarding authorship and conflicts of interest. All authors must disclose any financial, professional, or personal conflicts of interest that could affect their research or its interpretation.
